Ingredients
for 12 people
250g of all-purpose flour
125g of butter
100g of sugar
500g of low-fat quark cheese
4 eggs
3 tablespoons of hot water
200g (or 150g) of caster sugar
1 (or 2) sachets of vanilla sugar
25cl of milk
25cl of heavy cream
80g of all-purpose flour
Preparation
1. To make the dough, cut the butter into small cubes, add the sugar and flour. Work with a little hot water until you get a smooth dough.
2. Beat the egg yolks with the 3 tablespoons of hot water, sugar and vanilla sugar. Incorporate the quark cheese, cream, milk, flour and finally the beaten egg whites.
3. Butter a high-sided cake pan or a springform pan, line it with the dough and add the quark cheese preparation.
4. Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C (302°F) on the bottom rack for about an hour. Upon removing from the oven, place a rack on the tart, wait until it touches the pan, turn the tart onto the rack and remove from the pan. Allow to cool before serving.
