Ingredients
200g dark chocolate
50g hazelnuts
2 tablespoons of creamy honey
250g Breton butter cookies
90g butter
icing sugar
Instructions
1. Cook whole hazelnuts in a small pan for a few minutes until brown. Wait for them to cool off a little. Roll them in a clean cloth to remove as much peel as possible, which can add bitterness to the final product.
2. Crush the cookies in your hand. Transfer them to a mixing bowl along with the whole hazelnuts.
3. Melt honey and butter in a pan over low heat. Add chopped chocolate to it. Remove from heat and stir until the mixture is smooth.
4. Pour the melted chocolate over the cookies and hazelnuts mixture. Stir. Allow the mixture to harden a bit, then place it in the shape of a sausage on two layers of cling film placed on top of each other. Wrap it up. Add a third layer if necessary. Close the ends and refrigerate for at least three hours.
5. When ready to serve, remove the cling film, roll the sausage in icing sugar, and cut slices as desired.
