Ingredients:
- Grated cheese
- Butter
- 8 slices of sandwich bread
- Béchamel sauce
- 2 slices of cooked ham
Preparation:
Step 1:
Preheat the oven to 240°C. Make the béchamel sauce.
Step 2:
Take one slice of sandwich bread and spread a layer of butter on it. Layer the bread with béchamel sauce, grated cheese, half a slice of ham, more béchamel sauce, and grated cheese. Top it with another slice of sandwich bread. Repeat this step for the remaining slices of bread.
Step 3:
Put the four croque-monsieurs on a baking sheet covered with aluminum foil (be careful not to let them burn in the oven). Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 4:
Serve with a green salad.
