Mackerel Spread: Easy & Tasty Snack in a Snap!


1 (15 ounce) can of drained and rinsed mackerel

1 small finely diced onion

¼ cup of tomato-based hot pepper sauce

2 teaspoons of salt (or to taste)

1 teaspoon of ground black pepper (or to taste)

1 cup of mayonnaise


Remove and discard the skin and bones of the mackerel. In a medium-sized bowl, mix the mackerel with the onion and hot pepper sauce using a fork, breaking it into small pieces. Then mix in the mayonnaise, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
