Ingredients
for 4 people
About 20 potatoes
1 Morteau sausage
4 cloves of garlic
1 jar of cream (about 20 cl)
2 glasses of milk
200g of grated cheese
salt, pepper
nutmeg
butter, oil
Directions
Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Put the Morteau sausage (with the skin and whole) into the boiling water and reduce heat to let it cook for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, peel and wash the potatoes in water, dry them using a towel, cut them into slices using a food processor, and put them in a bowl. When the Morteau sausage is cooked, take it out and let it cool. Put some butter and oil in the bottom of a gratin dish. Arrange half of the potatoes in the dish, making sure they are spread out evenly. Add salt, pepper, grated nutmeg, 100g of grated cheese, half of the jar of cream, and one glass of milk. Peel the sausage and cut it into slices, then arrange it on top of the potatoes. Add the rest of the potatoes to the dish, making sure they are spread out evenly. Add salt, pepper, grated nutmeg, one glass of milk, the other half of the jar of cream, and 100g of grated cheese. Cook on low heat for about 30 minutes, then finish by putting it in the oven for 30 minutes.
