Directions
To make the vinaigrette, begin by measuring the vinegar (or lemon juice) and mustard (or mayonnaise) into a 2-cup measuring cup. Using a small whisk, mix in the minced garlic, a big pinch of salt, and a few grinds of pepper. Measure the oil in another cup. Slowly whisk the oil into the mixture, starting in droplets, then in a slow, steady stream to create an emulsified vinaigrette.
