Zucchini and Sausage Tart” – simple and easy to understand!


For 6 people:

  • 1 pie crust
  • 3 large zucchinis
  • 1 onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 20 cl of heavy cream
  • 80 g of grated Gruyere cheese
  • 6 Strasbourg sausages (knackis)
  • salt, pepper


  1. Peel and dice the zucchinis. Peel and slice the onion. In a pan, sauté the zucchinis and onion with a little bit of grease. Add salt and pepper, and let cook for about 20 minutes on medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  2. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the heavy cream. Add the grated Gruyere cheese, salt and pepper.
  3. Roll out the pie crust in a tart pan and pierce it with a fork.
  4. Spread the zucchini-onion mixture onto the crust. Then, pour the egg-cream-cheese mixture over it.
  5. Cut the sausages in half and place them on the tart.
  6. Bake the tart in the oven for about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
